I'm a newb myself so, warning, take this for what it's worth.

A major triad is defined by notes at 4 and at 7 semitones from the root (4-3).

A minor triad is defined by notes at 3 and at 7 semitones from the root (3-4).

This is true for any 3-note chord (triad) with root at any note in the scale.

Experts please correct me if I got this wrong.

It is impossible to transpose from minor to major or major to minor. You would have two different sets of chord choices to use.

That's not transposition—it's re-writing the musical piece.

D minor 7 / G7 / C7..., is known as a 2-5-1 in the 'Jazz idiom'. You are already in C Major... Just starting from the 2nd degree.

Transpose down one degree to C then progress up to D then E natural then F then G then A Natural then B thats all there is to it BAS

Transposed Chords are D min to C Major, G min to F Major, A Maj to G Major

Hope this helps
